1st Corinthians

This course goes through a contextual understanding of 1st Corinthians. There is also a political, geographical, religious, and historical context found that surrounds the life of Corinth that would have been heard differently from our modern ears. How would the recipients of the letter understood what Paul was conveying? We want to get as close as we can to hearing as the recipients did. This task of doing our due diligence to studying the scriptures is the task of Exegesis. We will be exploring 1st Corinthians together and in doing so, as we better understand the letter, we will be able to make this relevant to our lives and those around us.
